Synopsis

Calvin is an old, lonely homeless man with only two things keeping him company: his ukelele and his loyal dog, Monty. After realising, Calvin doesn’t have long to live, and he fears being forgotten by the world around him.

Therese is a wide-eyed, talented, young photographer struggling to learn the rue essence of art and beauty. One day, Therese encounters Calvin and, overwhelmed with emotions, she captures photographs of him from afar.

As Calvin reaches closer to death, the only memories of him rest in Therese and her camera.

Production

Script Supervisor/Continuity

Being the editor, it was important for me to be on set to ensure our film can maintain continuity and ensure no issues come about.

This would require me to mark down the script, noting any actions for actors to repeat. Ensuring that I work closely with the DOP and director

Post-Production

Using the UTS facilities and grading suites, I acted the the colourist for the film.

I have had prior experience to Davinci Resolve and its colour-grading features. Even though I have colour-graded other films before this was incredibly beneficial to help strengthen my skills.

Editing

To edit this film I used Davinci Resolve, my preferred software to edit, colour grade and any necessary VFX due to its seamless workflow. After we had wrapped, I started editing closely with the director the next day, syncing the rushes and forming a rough cut.
